4 servings
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Tacos:
12 small corn tortillas
1 pack of La Bonanza Authentic Avocado & Habanero Taco Sauce
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheddar (optional)
Lime wedges (for serving)
Preparation:
1. Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
Stir in the cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse the beef.
2. Warm the Tortillas:
While the beef cooks, warm the corn tortillas on a hot skillet or grill for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and slightly charred.
3. Assemble the Tacos:
Once the beef is ready, spoon a generous amount of the seasoned beef mixture onto each warm tortilla.
4. Top with La Bonanza Avocado & Habanero Taco Sauce:
Add a spoonful of La Bonanza Authentic Avocado-Habanero Taco Sauce on top of the beef for a creamy and spicy kick.
5. Garnish & serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro, diced onions (if using), and crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheddar for extra flavor.
Serve with lime wedges on the side for a fresh burst of citrus.
- Tip: For added crunch, top with shredded lettuce or cabbage for a fresh contrast to the spiciness of the sauce.
